Richard R. Dryer, DDS, MS
Dr. Richard Dryer is a Board Eligible Prosthodontist with the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Dryer completed three years of Specialty training in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree at the University of Minnesota. During his training, Dr. Dryer received extensive training in esthetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan and completed a one year General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital where he received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry with an emphasis in oral surgery and intravenous moderate sedation.
Dr. Dryer practiced as a general dentist in Chicago for two years prior to entering the Indian Health Service in Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico for five years where he practiced all phases of general dentistry. On completion of his specialty training, Dr. Dryer continued as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota for two years prior to opening his private practice in Palatine, Illinois. In addition to private practice at Seven Hills Dental & Implant Center, Dr. Richard Dryer instructs residents in Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with a focus on full arch implant surgery and restoration, immediate dental implant placement, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, and intravenous moderate sedation. Dr. Dryer will begin a part time program through King’s College in London leading to a Master of Science degree in Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation. Maxillofacial prosthetics is the rehabilitation of patients missing eyes, ears, noses and faces secondary to trauma, cancer or congenital defects. Patient care and training will be completed in Chicago and Pune, India.
Dr. Dryer maintains a license to practice as a specialist in prosthodontics in Illinois and a license to administer Intravenous Moderate Sedation (Conscious Sedation). Professional memberships include the American College of Prosthodontists and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
